I love this product. I only bought another one cause my old one broke. This is a great product in the AV industry

SO I love this little device, i used to own 6 of them, but now im down to 3 because they keep walking away (a sign a device is good). I LOVE how versatile it is, as someone that has been working on Games QA for the past 25 years, i have wanted this to exist (a simple just HDMI goes in, USB capture goes out), i was a kickstarter backer and i have come back to buy more of them.

I have NOT been paid by genki and i dont want to, but i do want to say thank you.

I literally JUST used one to passively do video capture on a business class laptop to document a bug. That is what prompted me to come and say thank you again.

If i could give 10/5 i would.

Great Concept However could be betterExpensive for what it does, however i under this is a niche itemI do not like the fact your have to take this in and out if you which to plug into your tv and cant have both at the same time.Requires getting an additional extra long USB C cable to plug into your laptop

This little device can record anything that has an HDMI out port, and it does a great job at that. I've used it for my Nintendo Switch to play games while recording, and it works amazingly! I like the two modes it has, one for resolution, and one for framerate, which both look awesome and are great to play games with. Overall, a great product for anyone wanting to make videos using a game console.

I wanted to be able to stream my switch to my pc so my online friends could watch me play whatever. This product does the job and the stream is way better than the last method I used did. It was a 4k External Video card that died after a single day, but this isn't that product. Though I haven't tested it since the first few days, I'm confident that it still works, unlike the other product I tried. It has its own software that displays the video without having to go through the camera app or a streamer software suite. I didn't want to have to install OBS Studio for this purpose, though it was free to use last I checked.Also another thing to note is that on the highest quality stream setting, it can freeze, quite possibly due to the Genki Shadowcast freezing. When that happens, turn the quality to the lower setting and then back up and that fixes it.
